Obol Plains are but a breath away from falling to the Harrowing Horde! If that were to occur, this area would be impassable and there would be no hope for saving Drinal."

Firiona Vie "They are the souls who linger within Ethernere, some by choice, but they are few. Here they stay, accumulating and stagnating. They should have moved on to their chosen deity's plane, but those paths were closed off for far too long while the gods were absent."
"Souls were left here, within Ethernere?"
Firiona Vie "Yes. It mattered not how faithful or disloyal, they were left to languish within Drinal's realm. I assume this explains why some here have yet to realize they are no longer living."
"What of those dedicated to gods that have returned?"
Firiona Vie "I have yet to hear of anyone that has journeyed to other planes since their absence. It seems the gods' reemergence has not touched Ethernere, yet."
"Oh, it's touched it! Rallos Zek's death has tainted this plane!"
Firiona Vie "Rallos Zek's... Of course! The aggression and imbalance of this land. Even if it had been stable prior to his death, that single act of a deity's fall would have made an indelible mark upon this plane. Drinal and Ethernere were never imbued with the strength to handle such power."

Firiona Vie "Rallos' touch would certainly explain the townsfolk's claims that the Harrowing Horde have become ridiculously and unprecedentedly aggressive. It is not a coincidence. I agree."

Firiona Vie "Yes. The Horde attack, stealing townsfolk and dragging them into the expanding chasms. Please, won't you help slay the Horde that have made it past the defenses? We must beat them back lest they continue to gain ground!"

Furtog Ogrebane "Wayward. Y'know Norrathians who bit the big one and ended up here, like us. 'Cept these ones be them who chose to lead their afterlives same as they did in life; killing, kidnapping, torturing, and stealing."

Furtog Ogrebane "Ya didn't know? Death delivered by the hand of a fellow Wayward is not an end of our existence, as it can be when the Harrowing Horde decide to consume ya spirit. It just means a soul rippin' pain, for what seems an eternity as ya be reformed by Ethernere at one of them soul spires."

Galen Cadabrak "My death brought me to this land, but my hunger for knowledge is what kept me. I found the flow of arcane energy in Ethernere too interesting for this old mage to pass by! I had long studied its properties with no particular aim other than knowledge. That was, until the Harrowing Horde began attacking the town."
"Why have the attacks stopped your studies?"
Galen Cadabrak "I've halted those particular studies in order to focus on supplying magical barriers and attacks against the Harrowing Horde. They were not always like this, you must understand. There was no need for such arcane defenses and attacks here."
"What do you mean?"
Galen Cadabrak "The Harrowing Horde have not always been mindless, consuming beasts, plaguing all souls within Ethernere. That is a relatively recent development!"
"What were they like before?"
Galen Cadabrak "Their function was to seek out and remove foreign souls and manifestations within Ethernere. Those craven souls who feared judgment by their chosen god and tried to hide, were sought out by the Horde. Those of us who were agnostic, worshiped Drinal, or made a deal with the Silver Reaper, had nothing to fear from them."
"Now you do."
Galen Cadabrak "We all do now, yes. And it is why we must work together and do what we can to help everyone!"
"Fine. What would you have me do in this team?"
Galen Cadabrak "I need arcane geodes, found within churning obol, and the viscous residue that is obol mucklings. The algae can be found in the stream nearby, and the churning obol surround the tourbillion."

"I wonder if they are trying to drain the tourbillion here of power, like they did in Eidolon Jungle?"
Galen Cadabrak "They did what?! Ack! I knew I was right. They are up to something involving the tourbillion! Why wouldn't anyone heed my warnings?!"
"What you need is proof."
Galen Cadabrak "Good thinking! And as you've seen some of their activity in other places, you're the perfect person to find any. What do you say?"
"I'll investigate their activity at the tourbillion."

Galen Cadabrak "They were still there? Oh, that can't be good! Do you think that they are trying to drain it, as they did to the one in Eidolon Jungle?"
"I am not sure, but they were carrying parts of the tourbillion."
Galen Cadabrak "Oh, not good. Not good. Nope. That does it! If the Horde are mucking around with the tourbillion then it can only spell bad news for us."
"But we don't know what their plans are."
Galen Cadabrak "We don't have to know their plans to see an attack upon the town is imminent! We must work on preparing ourselves for whatever it is!"
"What do you have in mind?"
Galen Cadabrak "I've been attempting to craft a spell to weaken the Harrowing Horde. It is needed now more than ever! But it's not perfected, yet."

Galen Cadabrak "Gather for me the seed pods of a burned twilight fern, and get the regeneration negation draught from Damion Trebatius, a wizard at Incantatory Apex."

Galen Cadabrak "Not too long ago, I noticed that the Harrowing Horde had been very interested in the nearby tourbillion. Other Wayward dismissed me. Well, except Firiona Vie. She is a very wise new comer!"
"I wonder if they are trying to drain the tourbillion here of power, like they did in Eidolon Jungle?"
Galen Cadabrak "They did what?! Ack! I knew I was right. They are up to something involving the tourbillion! Why wouldn't anyone heed my warnings?!"
"What you need is proof."
Galen Cadabrak "Good thinking! And as you've seen some of their activity in other places, you're the perfect person to find any. What do you say?"
"I'll investigate their activity at the tourbillion."

-I must investigate the Obol Plains tourbillion for any signs of Harrowing Horde activity.
Galen Cadabrak "What did you find at the tourbillion, Rawadar? Any evidence of the Horde's activity there?"
"I'd call the Horde that attacked me evidence."
Galen Cadabrak "They were still there? Oh, that can't be good! Do you think that they are trying to drain it, as they did to the one in Eidolon Jungle?"
"I am not sure, but they were carrying parts of the tourbillion."
Galen Cadabrak "Oh, not good. Not good. Nope. That does it! If the Horde are mucking around with the tourbillion then it can only spell bad news for us."
"But we don't know what their plans are."
Galen Cadabrak "We don't have to know their plans to see an attack upon the town is imminent! We must work on preparing ourselves for whatever it is!"
"What do you have in mind?"
Galen Cadabrak "I've been attempting to craft a spell to weaken the Harrowing Horde. It is needed now more than ever! But it's not perfected, yet."
"What can I do?"
Galen Cadabrak "Gather for me the seed pods of a burned twilight fern, and get the regeneration negation draught from Damion Trebatius, a wizard at Incantatory Apex."
"I'll get them both for you."
