Kiara 前天在官方論壇的 History and Lore 版預告，接下來會有什麼非常有趣的東西出現，要大家不要轉台 XD
昨天開始，像是約好的一樣，好幾個 EQ2 的 fan site 開始放出有著奇異符號的環狀碎片圖，包含 Zam、EQ2 Wire 和 Ten Tons Hammer 等。
原來這些碎片都是以博學者文寫成的片段文字，並且各段碎片分別有代表的名子。目前各 fan site 的整理和翻譯進度如下:

WHEN THE GUARDS CAUGHT ME I WAS ABLE TO HIDE AWAY THE PIECES OF THE JOURNAL I HAD COPIED. I KNEW THAT I WAS UNDER SUSPICION AND I COPIED ALL OF THE NOTES I FOUND ONTO INDIVIDUAL PIECES OF PARCHMENT. DURING MY IMPRISONMENT, I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO TRANSLATE THE DOCUMENTS WHERE THERE HAS BEEN AMPLE LIGHT AND MINIMAL SUPERVISION. THUS I GIVE YOU NOW THE LAST PIECE OF THE RESEARCHERS NOTES. I FEEL THERE MAY BE MORE BEYOND THIS but i AM NO LONGER FREE TO LOCATE THEM. CONSIDER THIS AS THE LAST.
AS I TRANSLATED EACH PAGE I WAS ABLE TO SEND THE PARCHMENT THROUGH A void poCKET AS I HAVE DONE BEFORE. HOWEVER, I HAVE BEEN KEPT IN A WEAKENED STATE AND CAN NO LONGER FULLY COMPLETE THE Ritual FOR TRANSFERENCE. THEREFORE I BELIEVE THE PAGES ARE STUCK IN THE FINAL STAGES OF MATERIALIZATION AND MIGHT NOT HAVE made it to THE PHYSICAL PLANE. I SUSPECT THESE PARTIALLY MATERIALIZED PAGES MAY APPEAR AS SOMETHING AKIN TO A SMALL STORMcloud OF DARK ENERGY. I ATTEMPTED TO PLACE THEM CLOSE TO THE HIGHEST CONCENTRATIONS OF THE Power in noRRATH. SEARCH NEAR THE LARGER CITIES TO FIND THEM.
THE PAGES WILL APPEAR BLANK. I WROTE THEM WITH A SPECial ink that PREVENTS THE SCRIPT FROM BEING SEEN EVEN WHEN HELD AGAINST THE LIGHT. YOU WILL NEED TO prepare a WASH IN ORDER TO MAKE THE SCRIPT APPEAR TO YOUR EYES. FIRST YOU MUST OBTAIN AN ink encHANTED WATER. AS YOU KNOW THIS IS NOT HARD TO COME BY. THIS INK YOU SHOULD BE ABLE find in one OF THE LIBRARIES OF NORRATH CONTAINED in a siMPLE VIAL. THE INK ITSELF, HOWEVER, IS NOT ENOUGH. YOU MUST CREATE A WASH BY COMBining THE INK WITH VOLCANIC ASH. THE CHEMICAL PROPERIES OF THE ASH WILL CHANGE THE ENChanted INK INTO THE NECESSARY WASH AND ALLOW THE PAGES TO REVEAL THEIR WORDS. YOU CAN find tHE ASH NEAR ANY VOLCANO BE IT ACTIVE OR BURNED OUT.
ONCE YOU HAVE COLLected THE TWELVE PAGES AND HAVE THE INK AND ASH TO HAND, PURCHASE A LEATHERBACK TOME COVER FROM THE SAGES. THIS WILL HELP TO PRESERVE THE FRAGILE PARCHMENT AND KEEP IT SAFE FOR ALL TO SEE. COMBINE THESE ITEMS IN THE TOME COVER AND YOU WILL HAVE COMPLETED THE NOTES. I BELIEVE THIS IS THE LAST YOU WILL HEAR FROM ME. 這次，他老兄把最後的故事分成 12 分散落在安東尼卡以及共有地，並且要去拿一個墨水和火山灰才能將這本書做出來。
先去安東或共有地撿書頁，紅色亮點蠻好找的，撿起來是 Traslated Page。接下來去南奎諾斯法師塔或北自由港法師公會，在那邊你可以在桌上找到一瓶墨水，最後再跟那裡 tag 為 Sage 的商人買 leatherbound baking 這個書背。
接著到炎爆山脈 (Lavastorm) 海灘看看有沒有可以點的火山灰小土堆，沒有的話去葛羅溫 (Gorowyn) 碼頭的那座島的整圈海灘找。重生時間是 10 分鐘，拿到後就是火山灰了。
最後使用那個書背就能把書頁和墨水、火山灰合成為 Assistant Researcher's Notes, Vol. 3, The High Council of Erudin 這本最後的筆記了。放出這些謎題的人，就是這本書內跟著潘尼爾的大師學習的學徒。

第二次的 Lore Event 又來啦!
這次 Cronyn 一樣在 History & Lore 板發了一篇主題為 Oww!! Me head! 的文章，裡面給了幾張圖片做為暗示。

經過玩家們對內文的研究後，終於在 KP 的 TG 巫師環地上找到發出紅光核心鑰匙破片。
之後用這個破片的頻率共鳴，分別在 Ant, CL, EL 以及 GFay 的巫師環找到剩餘的四個破片。
拿著這些鑰匙破片來到了令這些石板的敘述者感到驚訝的隕石破片附近，也就是 TD 中間那座島的西南位置，可以在崖邊找到一個冰晶狀的東西，觸摸就可以獲得第二本書 Assistant Researcher's Notes, Vol. 2, Halls of Erudin。

此 Event 已經結束，最後獲得的書本可以於圖書館向 Sage 購得。
話說，在 Fan Faire 前，Dev 們曾經透露過，將會有一本 Lore 相關的書出現在遊戲裡的事情，但是卻沒有更進一步說明到底是透過怎樣的形式玩家才能接觸到這本書。
於是 Lore Maniac 們當然就花了很多時間在遊戲裡到處跑來跑去找線索，最後在 FF09 舉辦的時候，Dev 才講說其實還沒放啦!... XD
又過了一陣子，就在大家快要忘記這件事情的時候，突然 7/14 號 Dev Cronyn 在 History & Lore 板發了一篇 Oh... I found something! 的文章，其中內容包含一張被墨跡弄髒的卷軸如下:
經過大家的猜測跟填補後，初步的版本如下:
To my fellow learned sages,
It is with much rejoicing that I have discovered writing and maps lost since before the Shattering. I believe of immense importance mainly to learning more about the past of Norrath, but also may have the key to discovering more about the fate of my ancestral home, the continent of Odus.
However, I believe I have also uncovered a deeper mystery, one with potentially grim implications. It seems that some of our assumptions of the fate of Odus, and of the Erudites th___s (2 words?), may be shrouded within a veil of deception. I cannot believe (or be sure), but ______s that there _________ be learned here.
Although I was able to deceive the Quellithulians of The Vault of El’arad, I believe that my very life could be in jeopardy. Thus, I must do as I can to retain my anonymity. The tome that I am sending should be copied and given to the people of Norrath, but not entirely so. If the Queen’s ___s (sages or guards?) discover that this information is getting out, then they may close the roads and none will learn of the important facts.
I ____d you the other tomes that can decipher this. I have discovered another possible v__e near the front of the vault, and will attempt to glean what I can from it. Should I be discovered, I will hide my notes within the tome, but will suspend it within a temporal bubble.
In order to reveal the notes, you will need a piece of a mineral that can disrupt special ___la__vity. I believe that such a mineral exists on Norrath in small quantities, and may have been experimented on by none other than Varsoon himself as he researched an item of power known as the glowing black stone. Seek out this item, and it should allow you to break my spell.
I will contact you again once I have more for you, although I cannot be sure when that might be. Until then, be wary as those who wish this information hidden might be all around you.

可以看出來還是有蠻多猜測跟問號的部分，不過這個卷軸的大意是某位博學者在 Vault of El’Aradd 發現了關於 Quellithullians (Shattering 後的新博學者) 的秘密，以及關於 Odus (博學者老家奧鐸士島) 的命運。由於擔心會被 Quellithullians 攔截，所以這份筆記有許多副本，並且要你拿 Varsoon 研製的 Glowing Black Stone (神祕的黑色石頭) 來閱讀他藏起來的筆記。
這份筆記的位置也很快的被玩家們找到。
首先，必須要先裝備完成 HQ - Strange Black Rock 任務後拿到的獎勵，也就是那顆石頭。然後前往 Barren Sky 的 Isle of Awakening 島，在 Vaults of El'Arad 內座標 (-41, -6, +131) 處，有一個檯子可以點，會拿到 "torn-hand written note" 這個手抄的紙條。
這個紙條本身沒有任務，但是會告訴你下一步要去找圖書館員講話以獲得一本書。
於是前往圖書館，找 Indus Surion (Qeynos) 或 Navarius Orvalis (Freeport) 講話，可以買到 "Assistant Researcher's Notes, Vol. 1, Halls of Erudin" 這本書。
這本書的內容如下:
書的內容是一位叫做 Zal'Urid 的潘尼爾城博學者，他的學徒所撰寫的日誌，內容敘述到他的導師如何閉門研究後，前往敵對的博識城晉見議會的經過。根據文章內所述，應該是在魔法上有巨大的發現，因此決定去找博學者們討論，或者說發表 (踢館?)。
看到最後一頁會感覺還沒完，因為這是第一輯而已。
