John Smedley announces Legends of Norrath at SOE 2007 Fan Faire!

Fan Faire has been abuzz wondering what new game John "Smed" Smedley will be announcing today.
This just in: it's called Legends of Norrath.

Fan Faire 對於 John Smedley 今天會發佈什麼新遊戲而興奮的討論。這可來了，它叫做《諾瑞斯傳奇》。

Legends of Norrath is an MMO card and strategy game built into EverQuest and EverQuest II.
The cards incorporate familiar lore and mobs from both games. The client will be integrated into
both games with plans for a standalone client at a later date.

《諾瑞斯傳奇》是一款萬人線上卡片以及戰術遊戲建構在《無盡的任務》以及《無盡的任務II》內。
卡片混合了兩款遊戲相同或類似的背景傳說以及生物。而遊戲客戶端將會在日後併入進兩款遊戲內並擁有獨立介面。

All registered EverQuest and EverQuest II players will receive a starter deck for free at launch.
The game is free: starter decks of cards will be purchasable for a one-time cost of about $10;
booster packs will be available for around $3. The initial deck will have 375 cards. The client will allow
you to trade cards with other players from both EverQuest and EverQuest II and incorporates a full
tournament system and card store. The Legends of Norrath may be played between players from both
games with a seamless client integrated into the game.

在遊戲開始的時候，所有已經註冊的《無盡的任務》和《無盡的任務II》玩家們將會免費獲得一個起始牌組。
遊戲本身是免費的，起始牌組將只能購買一次並需要約十美金，補充牌組則約三美金。最初的牌組將一共有 375 張卡片。
遊戲客戶端將能允許《無盡的任務》和《無盡的任務II》兩邊的玩家與其它人交易卡片，並同時能合併擁有一個完整的競賽系統以及卡片商店。
《諾瑞斯傳奇》能夠允許由兩款遊戲的玩家由一個類似的客戶端介面合併進入遊戲。

Besides offering in-game entertainment for those long camps, cards and card packs will be available
as mob drops in both games. They will be incorporated into the existing loot tables in such a manner
as to be accessible to all players. Very rare cards will drop which will include a /claim code,
allowing the redeeming player to acquire an in-game item that we are told will not be just fluff,
but a useful, desirable item.

除了提供遊戲內的娛樂給那些長時間等怪外，卡片以及卡片組將能由兩款遊戲的怪物上掉落。
他們將會合併為一個實際存在的掉落表，來使玩家能夠自殺怪獲得它們。而一些非常稀有的卡片掉落後會包含 /claim 碼，

And, as the coup de grace, every Fan Faire attendee will receive automatic Beta access,
with a random starter deck, two booster packs, and two additional booster packs a week.
All beta testers will keep their cards when the game goes live.

Gameplay is described as a beatum up combat strategy game. Tomorrow Fan Faire attendees
will be given an opportunity to play the game.

翻譯完之後我跑去官網稍微看了一下，內容已經蠻齊全了，主要我想大家會對於遊戲內掉落的東西比較有興趣，
要看的可以在卡片遊戲的官網 (我上面這篇底端有網址) 點左邊連結的 Loot Cards 裡面就有囉!

比較有趣的有兩張飛毯，都是 50% 速度且會加攻擊技能，另外還有一張工匠配方可以做兩個杯子，
杯子可以傳送到諾瑞斯世界各處的酒吧，最後是一些披風，其中大家比較注意的是 Cloak of Chelsith，
因為 Chelsith 是 EQI RoK 資料片中的咆哮岩 (或稱 Hollowing Stones 咆哮墓林)，這是失落的蛇人第國首都，
或許暗示著 RoK 資料片中蛇人也有可能重見天日，亦或是 Chelsith 有可能是資料片內探索新祕密的所在。

明明說EQ&EQ2的正式會員登入後會拿到一副起使牌組,
怎麼又說遊戲本身是免費的, 起始牌一組要$10?
意思是說除了一開始送的牌組, 我可以再買一套?
還是沒有買EQ&EQ2的人也可以透過買起始牌組來玩?

然後, 最重要的情報就是,
有參加Fan Faire的玩家會獲得Beta序號,
可以擁有一組隨機的起始牌組+兩個牌組補充包,
正式上線前每個禮拜還會多送你兩個補充包,
最重要的是在正式上線之後可以保留所有的卡片,
可想而知在ebay上一定會有人想要以高價賣出!!
Fan Faire是昨天開始的,
不知道測試key是什麼時候發,
過幾天去ebay看看,
說不定可以買一組回來玩~~ :twisted:

也就是可以在虛擬商店買牌(買到的是隨機牌，但是稀有牌可以交易)，

或許是指玩遊戲免費
但買牌要錢
起始包會包含基本牌，所以比較貴
補充包不含基本牌
如果SOE野心夠大，應該是非EQ玩家也可以加quote="Lachisis"]isis"]

補充包的好牌才能以高價賣出（類似稀有礦），爛牌就只能送人或交換了....

想多知道魔法風雲會，可以參考
wiki魔法風雲會

玩這種遊戲的要注意別沈迷下去，因為稀有牌很少，而且可交易，所以會很貴

更可能他不是每場比賽某種牌只能擁有一張（好比去刷副本，一個人EOF FABLED只能穿一件）,
而是你可以擁有多張同一種牌參賽(好比可以帶個四件同種類LORD胸甲去比賽,爆掉了就換一件)

然後你會花很多錢就為了湊足整套牌而砸大錢去標，或是為了抽到好牌就一直刷卡買補充包....（然後一直開到木箱..）
真實紙牌還可以收藏，這種虛擬紙牌連摸都摸不到...

一個玩過四代繁中版(1996年推出)魔法風雲會，家裡還有上萬元牌組的骨灰玩家留......
