SOE 於 Fan Faire 2010 玩家見面會上正式發布了《無盡的任務 2》第七張資料片 Destiny of Velious《薇洛斯命運》及其設定圖稿、遊戲內截圖和宣傳影片。



隨著命運雙子劍 - 魂火與奎諾斯巨劍在《前哨命運》中被汲取了力量，《無盡的任務》宇宙即將邁入毀滅。在薇洛斯這塊傳奇大陸，時代的盡頭這則預言將逐步的被揭露，而諾瑞斯的戰火也將在此點燃。要拯救諾瑞斯世界，命運雙子劍必得要修復。肩負此重擔的諾瑞斯守護者們將受到地城迷宮、薇洛斯凍土及強大生物，包含戰神 - 瑞羅‧賽克本人的試煉與挑戰。成者將獲得無上的光榮，而敗者，意味著將被殲滅與摧毀。

目前估計 SOE 是刻意流出的，因為都是一些無關緊要但是讓人能推斷出是薇洛絲的線索。所以可能是為了蒐集大家對於下張資料片的期待，這樣一來也比較好在接下來的時間裡設計些大家想要玩的元素，而不至於得要在 Game Update 中來補足。

所以果然是猜測中的薇洛斯阿! 名稱有點老梗就是了，Destiny 已經有點用爛了...。

由於不少人恐怕沒玩過 EQLive (EQ1)，所以還是稍微說明一下薇洛斯 (Velious) 是哪裡好了。



根據上面這張 EQLive 的諾瑞斯地圖，薇洛斯就是圖左下的那塊冰風大陸。根據歷史記載，這裡是最古老的生命起源處之一，因為開天闢地的龍神薇仙的子嗣 - 龍族就住在這裡。

整個島嶼上有三大勢力，分別是龍族、巨人以及索加丁矮人，龍族盤踞於整塊島嶼的西側，巨人族包含高密夫以及克羅賽巨人則在島嶼的南邊，索加丁矮人則在島嶼的東北邊。三個勢力中，龍族與巨人為敵對，而巨人又與矮人敵對，雖然龍族不特別討厭矮人但是他們自認是神的子民所以基本上無視種族一律都是 KoS (Kill on Sight) 的。

在 EQLive 最主要的設定中，三個種族分別會掉落不同的職業甲模具，而三個種族又透過建立陣營關係來將敵對陣營掉落的模具打造成盔甲。舉例來說，打死巨人會掉落矮人甲，打死龍族會掉巨人甲，比較特別的是龍族甲是打龍族自己，要去籠族的薇仙神殿打一個叫做試煉大廳的地方。

總之，整張資料片基本上就是三個種族的大亂鬥，而玩家們得要選邊站，不過最終目標都是殺死龍族獲得鑰匙去解放沉睡者 (Kerefyrm the Sleeper)。

新EPIC 是RING 10 / SHAWL 8 嗎? @_@

我把音樂分享在 SoundCloud 了，沒有更新 Test Server 的捧油可以在這邊搶先聆聽。

SmokeJumper 宣布，目前已經開始了 DoV 第一階段的 Close Beta，而第二階段 Close Beta (玩家可參與) 即將在 1 月展開。

不過這代表說，算一算 DoV 實際測試時間大概頂多一個月，跟 WoW 大災變的五個月來說差蠻多的，不過當然... WoW 的資料片間隔也很長就是了。

DoV 宣傳預告影片

根據 2/12 的 #3 Live Webcast，製作人們談論到的重點整理如下。

• EQ2 製作團隊規劃今年的更新將會有更多的隊伍、團征副本以及傳承任務等等。其中，第一次更新將會放一些地城。
• 道具裝備將會更為模組化以及直述易懂，而 proc 的部分將會大量移動到鑲嵌物上面。
• 在 SF 就已經組隊的玩家將能夠在 DoV 直接開始進入一些隊伍副本例如 Tower of Frozen Shadow (ToFS，闇影霜魂塔)
• 在 SF 中的一般團征玩家可以先去 Kael Drakkel (KD，凱爾卓科) 試試水溫，那邊是一個比較簡單的團征區域。
• 已經在打 UD 的進階團征玩家將可以直接進到薇洛斯的幾個簡單團征區域而不需要先打隊伍副本。
• 會有一種新型態的鑲嵌叫做 War Runes，主要是把 proc 拔出來獨立於裝備外，且為 raid drop 並要跟商人換。
• 薇洛斯推出後的 GU 才會放上新的 PvP 區域跟裝備。
• 在 NPC 身上將有新的屬性叫做 Critical Avoidance，這個屬性會減低你對他造成的 crit 傷害和補血，所以以後將需要比 100% 高出更多的 crit 來打較為困難的地城和團征區域。
• 飛行座騎從 86 級才能開始使用。
• 在 3/1 將會有一個即時事件能夠讓大家都能體驗飛行。在 Lavastorm、TT 以及 BBM 將會有地精製造的飛行機讓玩家們能夠騎乘，到時候並將舉辦飛行比賽。
